Designed for students interested in pursuing further business studies or degrees as well as those individuals currently in management and/or seeking further promotion, the Principles of Management course is a must for everyone who wishes to lead business effectively and succeed in a management position. Effective managers have unique skill sets that promote collaborative, orderly and productive work environments from which everyone can benefit. In the Principles of Management course, students will learn what exactly managers do and how good managers are able to get things done so effectively. Great managers are integral to successful planning, organization, control and leadership across every business and are required to effectively motivate employees beyond just their paychecks, resolving conflicts that arise and cultivating a collective effort toward success for everyone. Throughout this course, students will learn the best techniques for decision-making, addressing organizational challenges and structures and maximize the performance of everyone involved. The Principles of Management course will also introduce students to useful communication strategies alongside conflict management and the ways in which their actions can help to create the best environment possible to motivate employees to give their best every day.
The Principles of Management course introduces students to management philosophies in today’s changing world. It includes globalization, ethics, diversity, customer service, and innovation from a managerial perspective.
