MS Access

The Microsoft Office suite of applications is one of the most widely used pieces of software in the world. Whether used for professional, academic or home purposes, every entity utilizes some part of the Microsoft Office suite, whether for Apple or PC. Microsoft Access provides a user-friendly and efficient way to create extensive databases, queries and tables. Students will explore the benefits and uses of databases of this sort for the easy manipulation and collection of data through forms and tables, creating templates for data entry that will useful for maintaining large volumes of records. Also, students will learn how to add fields to a table, assign different data types, and format different table views. Moreover, students will learn to customize forms and import data from other sources, including other Microsoft programs like Excel. Students will also learn useful skills like mail merge that allow users to create mass e-mail or regular mail campaigns and get the most out of the data record-keeping. Finally, this course will that ensure students understand how the Access program interacts with the other Microsoft Office applications.
